About Us
Bideford Cinema presents a varied and entertaining programme of current films, shown on some of the biggest screens to be found anywhere in North Devon.
The price of our regular admission is currently £7.00 (with concessions available for under 18's and people aged 60 or over), but if you become a member of Bideford Film Society there's a saving of up to £2.00 on this price. Annual membership costs £12 for individual membership and £20 for household membership, which can include up to 6 members of the same household.
In addition to the saving on admissions, we have occasional free-of-charge members evenings and we also send you a periodic newsletter and keep you updated with our latest programme. We exist to provide a service to our local community and aim to keep our ticket prices lower than commercial cinemas. If you're interested in becoming a member, please visit our membership page.

We have a small hands-on committee with some interesting ideas for the future, and we're all film lovers. We always welcome new volunteers to assist with box office duties, front of house and as stewards - or even to learn about being a film projectionist using both digital and 35mm equipment. All our volunteers are given on-the-job training and guidance. If you would like to get involved, and to start seeing films for free, please visit our volunteers page.
Bideford Cinema is run by Bideford Film Society, a not-for-profit community group of dedicated local volunteers. In 2021 our group celebrates its twentieth anniversary! In March 2015 we became a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) - charity number 1161007. We are most grateful to Bideford Town Council and Bideford Bridge Trust for their financial support.
Bideford Film Society is affiliated with Cinema For All (formerly British Federation of Film Societies, BFFS). We are also members of Cinema UK.
